Day of the Weeping Princess by E.B. Anderson — the story of an unconventional princess whose inspiration lied not in her great wealth and status, but in the inhabitants of her kingdom, who devoted their gifts, talents, and abilities in service to the province. Princess Zurah longed to find her purpose and light by experiencing life with the citizens, regardless of how forbidden it was for the royal princess to mix with the commonwealth of the land. Princess Zurah had great difficulty living by the royal rules, and yielded to her adventurous spirit. She devised a way to be near the people she loved and to engage with their rhythm and culture in spite of the consequences. Just how far will Princess Zurah go? What dangers will befall her? Whose lives will be impacted by the princess’ actions? How will the kingdom react to their unconventional heir? How far will her family go to keep Princess Zurah in line?
E.B. ANDERSON was born and raised in Bronx, NY. Growing up, she was an avid reader with a vivid imagination. E.B. was a daydreamer, which sometimes got her into trouble at school. To help her focus and keep her daydreaming under control, her grandmother encouraged her to write down her thoughts, which gave life to delightful stories that emerged from her imagination.
As a mother of two daughters, the highlight of bedtime was the stories written by E.B. that always concluded with a cliffhanger as they drifted off to sleep. Day of the Weeping Princess was one of their favorite repeated bedtime requests. Now, as a grandmother, E.B. is excited to share this story with a new generation.
